چکیده | ||
یکی از مشکلات فراراهِ واقعگرایی ساختاری هستیشناختی حذفگرا مسألۀ رابطۀ بدون مربوط است: از یکسو، مطابقِ این نوع واقعگرایی، جهان صرفاً از ساختارها و روابط قوام یافته و تهی از اشیاء منفرد است، و از سوی دیگر، مطابق با فهم برآمده از ریاضیات، ساختارها و روابط به اشیاء منفرد بهمثابۀ مربوط تکیه دارند. استیون فرنچ در مقام مدافع این نوع واقعگرایی چنین پاسخ میدهد که فرضِ وابستگی رابطه به مربوط به منبع بازنمایی باز میگردد، در حالیکه واقعگرایی فوق مدعیست که رابطه در هدف بازنمایی موجودی خودایستاست. در این مقاله نشان داده خواهد شد که این پاسخ همراه با نظر وی در مورد معناشناسی جملاتِ ظاهراً ناظر بر اشیاء منفرد نامنسجم است. | ||
