| چکیده | ||
| This study proposes an interdisciplinary framework that bridges cognitive science and philosophical discourse on evil, offering empirical grounding to refine longstanding debates about moral perception. By synthesizing findings from moral neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, and cross-cultural anthropology, we demonstrate how the human understanding of evil is shaped by identifiable cognitive and biological mechanisms. Neuroimaging evidence reveals consistent activation patterns in the prefrontal cortex-amygdala-insula network during moral evaluations of evil, while behavioral research highlights how cognitive biases—particularly intentionality attribution and negativity effects—systematically influence moral judgments. Cross-cultural analyses further establish significant variations in conceptualizations of moral transgression, thereby challenging universalist assumptions underlying some traditional philosophical approaches. Rather than resolving metaphysical questions about evil's existence, this research provides a crucial empirical foundation that reframes philosophical inquiry by illuminating the psychological structures through which evil is perceived and conceptualized. This approach enables more nuanced theoretical formulations that integrate phenomenological experience with scientific observation, while offering practical insights for ethical education, intercultural dialogue, and conflict resolution methodologies that account for the cognitive underpinnings of moral judgment. | ||
