| چکیده | ||
| Assessment plays a vital role in educational systems. Due to the emergence of using computers for teaching, global attention has shifted from traditional teaching to online teaching, but not necessarily online testing. Testing through technology as a new form requires careful consideration, as decisions made based on test results may significantly impact examinees’ futures. A mixed-methods design examined examinees’ perceptions of technology-assisted language testing (TALT) and its relationship to test-takers’ academic degrees. To this end, 162 Iranian participants were recruited to complete an existing questionnaire, and 11 participants were selected to answer the interview questions. The data was gathered at Payam Nour University in Iran through an adapted survey. A two-way ANOVA was employed to examine the main effects of prior exposure to technology-assisted assessment and academic degree. The results revealed that prior exposure to this technology had a significant impact on examinees’ perceptions, regardless of their academic degree. The results of this study can be beneficial to policymakers, administrators, and test developers in making informed decisions about whether and how to utilise this technology. | ||
